The PTO
Executive Board is made up of 5 Parent Representatives,
1 Room Parent Coordinator, Principal, and Teacher Representative.
Each
board member
takes responsibility for a few projects and becomes
the contact person for that event. We ask that parents
and teachers share the responsibility for successful
programs and events by volunteering to run events
and share ideas and thoughts. Please contact any board
member with your questions, concerns, ideas or to volunteer.
Nancy Smith
Kevin and I have three children in the East Bridgewater Public Schools. I have been part of the PTO since it began in 2004. It has been an honor to help build a new organization for the benefit of the children and their families at the Central School. My involvement in PTO has brought me many things including; new friends, an understanding of programs going on in the School, and an opportunity to assist my children's teachers and principal. This involvement in the PTO lead me to an opportunity to join the East Bridgewater School Committee and the confidence to accept the position of Assistant Director of Religious Education at St. John’s Church. In addition, I am a Girl Scout leader for both of my girls. I urge parents to get involved with the PTO and other school groups. You’ll find it very rewarding!.
Jill Milton
I am a member of PTO Executive Board representing the
Room Parent Program. My son Vincent is in first grade
and his sister Kara Jayne will attend Kindergarten in
the fall. While coordinating the Room Parent Program,
I have enjoyed meeting other parents and working on special
events for the children and teachers at Central School.
At Open House make sure you sign-up to be a part of the
exciting Room Parent Program.
Roxanne Fahey
My husband Brian and I have three children. Tyler (2nd grade), Evan (kindergarten) and Ava who will be going to preschool. Last year I was the math mentor for Tyler’s class and volunteered for special events and fieldtrips. I loved every minute of it! I have been attending the PTO meetings for the past few years and wanted to get more involved. For me it is really important to be as involved with the kid’s education as I can. I also volunteer at one of the local food pantries, love to read, garden, make cakes and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to the fresh, fun and successful year!
Susan Oliveira
This is my first year on the PTO. I work as a full-time nurse at Brockton Hospital. My son Michael is entering first grade and his twin brother and sister will start kindergarten next year. I have really enjoyed getting involved this past year attending all the PTO meetings and being a Room Parent for Michael's kindergarten class. There are many ways to get involved in East Bridgewater and I encourage any moms/dads to attend our meetings, sign up on our volunteer list, and visit our website to review minutes from our meetings and check upcoming events. Please feel free to contact any of us with questions, concerns, or suggestion.
Stacey Coyne
I moved to East Bridgewater in 2003 with my husband, 5 year old daughter and 4 year old son. I started my banking career in 1989. In 2004, I accepted a Branch Manager position at Rockland Trust Company. I am currently an Assistant Vice President of the Cash Management Department. After 5 years of holding the position of Treasurer of the Friends of the NICU at the South Shore Hospital, I have decided to devote my attention to the East Bridgewater Community. Now that my daughter is in kindergarten, I feel that joining the PTO Executive Board is a great opportunity to help. I look forward to working with the PTO to deepen our community spirit and enhance our children’s educational experience at the Central Elementary School. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
Lisa Collins
My name is Lisa Collins and I am new to the PTO along with my husband Jim are the proud parents of James 7 and Daniel 5. I decided to become a member of the PTO because I feel education is of the upmost importance in the rearing of my children. Education is the stepping stone to molding a child's future. I hope that my involvement in the PTO can help all of our children form a firm foundation in learning. At the school I am the Room Parent for Daniel, the copier mother for James. Also I am a Den mother for cub scouts and at St. John's church I am a hall monitor. I feel by my involvement in the various activities that it is important to my children along with myself and others. It makes my children smile to see me there and gives them a sense of stability to know mom cares about how they are doing in school.
Central School Representation
Mrs.
Williams – Principal
I grew up in East Bridgewater and attended the public
schools here in town. I still reside in town with my
husband and two sons (Aidan, 3 & Gage, 1). I have
worked at Central School for the past ten years. Prior
to becoming Principal in the fall of 2004 I was the
Assistant Principal and a classroom teacher in grades
1 & 3. As a resident, parent,
and administration in the town I couldn't be more proud
of the dedication and commitment that the parents show
for their children and the entire school community.
I developed and implemented the PTO at Central School
in 2003 and right from the start the parents have worked
tirelessly to create programs and initiatives that
have enriched the lives of the students and beautified
the school environment. I look forward to continuing
my partnership with the PTO and especially to my own
children attending Central School and benefiting from
all the wonderful opportunities the PTO provides for
our families.
